1. What data we collect

To generate your job application documents, CVRoute collects the information you provide in the questionnaire, including:

• Personal details: name, email address, location (country, city)
• Employment history: job titles, companies, dates, responsibilities, achievements
• Education background: institutions, degrees, dates
• Skills, tools, certifications, and languages
• Career goals and target job information
• Online presence: LinkedIn URL (if provided), portfolio URL (if provided)
• Preferences: tone, formality level, output language
• Payment information: processed by Polar — CVRoute does not store your card details

2. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to:

• Generate your requested job application documents
• Deliver the generated files to your email address
• Handle payment verification and order management
• Respond to support requests
• Prevent abuse and fraud

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. AI provider processing

To generate your documents, the information you provide in the questionnaire is sent to an AI language model provider. This processing is necessary to create tailored output based on your background and goals.

The AI provider processes your data in accordance with their own data processing policies. We use established, reputable providers. We do not explicitly instruct the AI provider to retain your data for model training purposes beyond what is required for the API call.

4. Data storage and retention

Your questionnaire data and generated files are stored securely in our database and file storage systems. Generated files are accessible via a time-limited secure download link (valid for 7 days from delivery).

We retain order and questionnaire data for a reasonable period to handle support requests. We do not retain data indefinitely.

5. Your rights and data deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. To make a deletion request, contact us through our contact page with your email address and a description of your request.

We will process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe. Note that some data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example, transaction records for accounting).

6. Third-party services

CVRoute uses the following third-party services:

• Polar — payment processing
• Supabase — database and file storage
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• AI provider — document generation

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing the data they process on our behalf.

7. Analytics

CVRoute may use privacy-preserving analytics to understand how the service is used (for example, which pages are visited and where users drop off). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising or remarketing purposes.
